Fritto di Calamari
The ambiance of the Grandview gives that Titanic upper class fine dining experience. It's rich in history and quite a staple to the foundation of San Jose and Santa Clara County. As a pescetarian, I've had calamari similar to what I've ordered in other restaurants. And let me tell you, the calamari at the Grandview is in my number 1 list of favorites! The squid was very soft and tender as if the chef gave it a good massage before a well balanced dive in their delicious batter. The pairing of deep fried thinly sliced lemons give it a bang which surprisingly complements very well with the calamari - you don't need any sauce when you pair the two in a single bite. It's crunchy perfectly seasoned batter, soft and tender calamari, and zesty tangy savory deep fried lemon (also covered in batter) is definitely worth a rave, and a reorder on future visits. I've had many calamari before. I'm also picky when it comes to how it's prepared. I was not disappointment at the Grandview. It's my go to order! I love it! This red, recommended by Max (Top server award) was delicious. Paired perfectly for our prawn entry, Cesar salad and Prime rib! We had a 2021, assume the 2022 is a good. Will definitely pick up a few of these bottles for the holiday season!
